British Organisation Dedication and Donations
In addition to the funds received from the veterans, families and friends based in the USA and British Organisations there has been immense support for this project in Suffolk, particularly from Mendlesham and Wetheringsett.
Over seventy five separate financial donations have been received from local individuals and businesses. Many of these donors asked for their contribution to remain anonymous or did not provide their wishes on this matter, so we are unable to provide a list of their names.
Many people have also contributed in other ways from attending meetings, donating resources or used individual skills to help with the project.
A wide range of people, from those who remember WW11 to those who have no personal recollections, but fully appreciate the sacrifice made by both American and British Servicemen and their families, both those who did not return home and those who did, but never forgot, want to say:
